・新世紀エヴァンゲリオンとは、庵野秀明による日本のSFアニメで、およびそれを原作にした漫画や映画などの派生作品です。物語は、大災害「セカンドインパクト」が起きた2015年の世界を舞台に、巨大な人型兵器「エヴァンゲリオン」のパイロットとなった14歳の少年少女たちと、謎の敵「使徒」との戦いを描いています。

新世紀エヴァンゲリオンは、人間の心理や感情、宗教や神話などを深く掘り下げたストーリーや、独特の世界観やキャラクターが魅力で、1995年から1996年にかけてテレビアニメが放送されました。その後、テレビシリーズの結末を変えた劇場版や、新たな設定やストーリーで再構築した新劇場版などが制作されました。また、海外でも多くの国や地域で放送され、世界的なファン層を持ちます。

「碇シンジは学校もろくに行かない不良でした。ある日、父親から呼び出されて第3新東京市に行きました。そこで父親はシンジにエヴァンゲリオンという巨大なロボットに乗って使徒という怪物と戦うように言いました。シンジは嫌でしたが、同じくエヴァに乗る少女・綾波レイが怪我をしているのを見て乗ることにしました。

シンジはエヴァ初号機に乗って使徒と戦いました。怖かったけど勝ちました。その後も使徒が次々と襲ってきました。シンジはNERVという組織の人たちや同級生たちと一緒に戦いました。NERVの人たちはシンジの上司である葛城ミサトや父親の部下である赤木リツコなどです。同級生たちは鈴原トウジや相田ケンスケなどです。

シンジは他にもエヴァパイロットの仲間がいることを知りました。ドイツから来た少女・惣流・アスカ・ラングレーや謎の少年・渚カヲルです。彼らはみんな14歳でした。彼らはそれぞれ個性的でしたが、みんな何かしらの問題を抱えていました。

シンジもまた自分の問題を抱えていました。父親と仲が悪かったり、母親が死んだことを思い出したりしました。エヴァに乗ることで自分の存在意義を見つけようとしましたが、エヴァには恐ろしい秘密が隠されていました。エヴァは人間の魂が宿った生き物だったのです。

シンジたちは使徒との戦いで傷ついたり仲間を失ったりしました。使徒は人類の敵でしたが、実は人類自身が使徒だったのです。人類は第1使徒・アダムから生まれたリリンと呼ばれる種族でした。NERVの裏にはゼーレという組織があり、死海文書という予言書に従って人類補完計画という計画を進めていました。その計画は、全ての人類を一つにすることで、苦しみや孤独から解放することでした。

シンジは最後の使徒・カヲルを倒しましたが、それは補完計画の始まりの合図でした。NERVはゼーレによって襲撃されました。シンジはエヴァに乗って戦おうとしましたが、エヴァ初号機は巨大な十字架に磔にされていました。シンジは自分の意思でエヴァを動かそうとしましたが、エヴァは自分で動き出しました。エヴァ初号機はアダムと合体し、神となりました。

シンジは神となったエヴァ初号機の中で自分の心を見つめ直しました。シンジは自分を嫌っていました。でも、他の人たちから愛されていることに気づきました。シンジは補完計画を拒否し、個別の存在として生きることを選びました。シンジは再生された世界で目覚めました。そこにはアスカがいました。シンジはアスカを抱きしめようとしましたが、彼女は拒絶しました。二人は互いに何も言わずに見つめ合いました。」

・Neon Genesis Evangelion is a Japanese science fiction anime created by Hideaki Anno, along with its derivative works such as manga and movies based on the original story. The story is set in the year 2015 after a major disaster called "Second Impact" and follows the battles between 14-year-old boys and girls who become pilots of giant humanoid weapons called "Evangelions" and mysterious enemies known as "Angels."

"Neon Genesis Evangelion" captivates audiences with its deep exploration of human psychology, emotions, religion, mythology, as well as its unique world-building and characters. The television anime series was broadcasted from 1995 to 1996, and subsequently, theatrical films were produced, altering the ending of the TV series, and new theatrical versions with new settings and storylines were created. It has also been widely broadcasted in many countries and regions around the world, gathering a global fan base.

"Shinji Ikari was a delinquent who barely attended school. One day, he was summoned by his father and went to Tokyo-3, the city where the Third New Tokyo City was located. There, his father told him to pilot a giant robot called Evangelion and fight against the monsters called Angels. Shinji was reluctant, but he decided to pilot it after seeing another girl, Rei Ayanami, who also pilots an Eva, getting injured.

Shinji piloted the Eva Unit-01 and fought against the Angels. It was scary, but he won. Afterward, the Angels continued to attack one after another. Shinji fought alongside the people from NERV, an organization, and his classmates. The people from NERV included Shinji's superior, Misato Katsuragi, and his father's subordinate, Ritsuko Akagi. His classmates were Toji Suzuhara and Kensuke Aida.

Shinji learned that there were other Eva pilots as well. They were a girl named Asuka Langley Soryu, who came from Germany, and a mysterious boy named Kaworu Nagisa. They were all 14 years old and each had their own distinctive traits, but they all had some kind of problem they carried with them.

Shinji also had his own issues. He had a difficult relationship with his father and had memories of his mother's death. He tried to find his purpose by piloting the Eva, but the Eva held a terrifying secret. The Eva was a living creature that housed human souls.

Shinji and his comrades suffered injuries and losses in their battles against the Angels. The Angels were the enemies of humanity, but it turned out that humans themselves were also Angels. Humans were a species called Lilin, born from the First Angel named Adam. Behind NERV, there was an organization called SEELE, which followed the prophecies of the Dead Sea Scrolls and pursued the Human Instrumentality Project. The goal of the project was to unite all of humanity as one, freeing them from suffering and loneliness.

Shinji defeated the final Angel, Kaworu, but it signaled the beginning of the Human Instrumentality Project. NERV was attacked by SEELE. Shinji tried to fight in the Eva, but the Unit-01 was crucified on a giant cross. Shinji attempted to move the Eva with his own will, but the Eva began moving on its own. The Unit-01 merged with Adam and became a god.

Inside the transformed Unit-01, Shinji reflected on his own heart. He hated himself but realized that he was loved by others. Shinji rejected the Human Instrumentality Project and chose to live as an individual. He awakened in a regenerated world where Asuka was present. Shinji tried to embrace Asuka, but she rejected him.
