LAND OF THE LUSTROUSとは、市川春子さんが講談社の月刊アフタヌーンで連載している人気漫画です。2017年には、オレンジ制作による3Dアニメ化もされました。この作品は、地球が隕石によって何度も破壊された遠い未来の世界を舞台にしています。そこでは、人間の姿をした「宝石」たちが、自分たちを狙う「月人」から戦いながら生きています。宝石たちは、硬度や色、性格などによって個性が異なります。主人公は、硬度が3.5と低くて戦闘に向かない「フォスフォフィライト」です。フォスは、自分の役割を見つけるために、百科事典の作成や他の宝石たちとの交流を通して成長していきます。しかし、その過程でフォスは、自分の体や記憶を失ってしまうこともあります。
